About These Terms
Buddie (www.buddie.gg) is run by EBOOSTGG LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 16883185, with its registered office at Unit 501 Leroy House, 434-436 Essex Road, London, N1 3FY, United Kingdom ("Buddie", "we", "us"). These Terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using Buddie, you accept them.
Three other documents are part of these Terms:
- the Sales Agreement — Coins, Orders, payments, refunds and Buddie earnings;
- the Guidelines — how buddie works for Buddies and what is not allowed;
- the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy — how we handle your data.
If these Terms and the Sales Agreement say different things about money, the Sales Agreement wins.
Accepting These Terms
You accept these Terms and every document listed above when you do any of the following:
- tick the box when you create an account with your email;
- create an account or sign in with Discord, Google or Riot;
- place an Order, top up your Wallet, apply as a Buddie, or otherwise use Buddie.
By doing so, you confirm that:
- you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, the Sales Agreement, the Guidelines, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy;
- you are at least 18 years old;
- the information you give us is true and your own;
- using Buddie is legal where you live.
These confirmations are part of our agreement. If any of them is untrue, you are in breach of these Terms and we may close your account. If you don't accept these Terms, don't use Buddie.
Our Service
Buddie is a marketplace where you can find a Buddie — someone to play games, talk or hang out with online — and order their time. We run the website, the chat and voice calls, and take payment. We don't provide the Services ourselves.
Customer: anyone who orders from a Buddie, or sends a tip, gift, subscription or wish contribution.
Buddie: a User we have approved to offer Services. Buddies are independent. They are not our employees, agents or partners, and they decide their own prices, services and hours.
Service: what a Buddie offers in a listing — for example playing a game together, voice or text chat, or watching something together. Services take place online only.
Order: one purchase of a Service at the price shown when you order it.
Coins: Buddie's credits, held in your Wallet. 1 Coin is worth 1 US dollar on Buddie.
We sort and show Buddies using things like their store rating, activity and the games you look for. We don't guarantee any Buddie will be available, accept an Order, or be right for you.
Dealing with Buddies and Other Users
A Service is provided by the Buddie, not by Buddie. We approve Buddies and review their Services, but we don't check their identity, background or skill, and we don't supervise Sessions. What a Buddie says about themselves is their own statement.
You deal with other Users at your own risk. Be careful about what personal information you share, and never send money, account logins or private details outside Buddie.
Anything that happens outside Buddie — other apps, other payment methods, meeting in person — is not covered by Buddie, our protections or our refunds, and is against these Terms.
Each game has its own rules. You are responsible for following them, and we are not responsible if a game publisher restricts or bans your game account.
We don't promise any result from a Session — winning, a rank, or anything else.
Who Can Use buddie
To use Buddie you must:
- be at least 18 years old — this applies to Customers and Buddies alike;
- be able to enter a binding contract where you live;
- not be barred from receiving services under UK, EU or US sanctions law;
- give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
You need to verify your email before you can pay, chat or apply as a Buddie. One person, one account: don't create accounts for someone else, share yours, or make new ones to get around a suspension.
Buddie is for adults only. We may ask any User for proof of age at any time and limit or suspend the account until we receive it. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it. It is your responsibility to make sure that using Buddie is legal where you live.
Your Account and Security
You're responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password private, and turn on two-factor authentication in Settings if you can. When you sign in from a new network we may email you a code to confirm it's you.
If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and contact us at support@buddie.gg straight away. We can't guarantee our systems can never be breached, but we work to keep them secure — see the Privacy Policy.
Our Licence to You
While you follow these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Buddie. You may not copy, sell, scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with Buddie, use bots or automated tools on it, or try to get into parts of it you're not allowed to.
Your Content
"Content" is anything you put on Buddie: your profile, photos, videos, voice intro, posts, messages, reviews and files.
You keep ownership of your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, show and adapt it (for example to resize a photo) so we can run and promote Buddie. The licence ends when the Content is deleted from Buddie, except where we still need a copy as explained below.
Public Content — your profile, album, posts and reviews — can be seen by anyone who visits Buddie. Files you upload can be opened by anyone who has their link, so don't upload anything you want kept private.
We store your messages. Our staff may read them when a message, Order or account is reported, when we investigate fraud or abuse, or when the law requires it.
You promise your Content is yours to share, is legal, and doesn't break these Terms or anyone else's rights.
We may remove or hide Content, or refuse to publish it, if we think it breaks these Terms or the law. A Buddie's Services are reviewed before they appear.
After you delete Content or your account, we may keep copies for as long as we need them for disputes, fraud prevention, accounting and legal obligations. Messages you sent stay in the other person's chat.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without paying you.
Rules for Everyone
These are not allowed on Buddie, and can lead to Content being removed and an account being suspended or closed:
- Sexual services, sexual or nude content, or sexual conversation — in listings, profiles, albums, chat or calls — and advertising or linking to adult content elsewhere.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, bullying, or refusing people because of who they are.
- Paying, asking for payment, or moving a Customer outside Buddie, or sharing contact details to do so.
- Arranging to meet in person, or asking for someone's home address.
- Sharing game account logins, or playing on another person's game account ("boosting") under a Service.
- Cheating, hacks or anything else that breaks a game's own rules.
- Recording or sharing a voice call, screen share or private chat without the other person's permission.
- Fraud, scams, fake reviews, chargeback abuse, or using someone else's payment method.
- Pretending to be someone else, including Buddie staff.
- Spam, malware, or anything illegal.
Our Guidelines explain these rules in more detail. They are not a complete list — use common sense.
Child Safety
Buddie has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, including grooming, sextortion and any material that sexualises children. We remove such content, close the accounts involved for good, and report them to the police and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Report anything worrying with the report button on a profile or in a chat, or email support@buddie.gg. Child-safety reports are dealt with first.
Becoming a Buddie
Anyone 18 or older with a verified email can apply. We review each application and may approve or reject it at our discretion. We may ask for more information at any time.
Each Service you list, and every change to it, is reviewed by us before customers can order it.
As a Buddie you run your own small business on Buddie. You are responsible for your own taxes, social-security contributions and any licences where you live.
Your store rating is calculated automatically from your profile, how quickly you reply and the service you give. It decides your store level, which affects where you appear in listings and how long your earnings are held after an Order.
How you are paid — commission, payout holds and withdrawals — is set out in the Sales Agreement.
We may end your Buddie status if you break these Terms or the Guidelines. Your account and any earnings you can withdraw stay yours.
Orders and Payments
When you place an Order, you pay Buddie and we hold the money. The Buddie gets it only after the Order is completed and its payout hold has passed. If the Buddie doesn't accept or start your Order in time, it's cancelled and refunded to your Wallet automatically.
Coins can only be used on Buddie. They are not money, electronic money or a bank deposit, they earn no interest, and they can't be sold, transferred to another account (except through tips, gifts, subscriptions and wish contributions) or exchanged for cash. Coins you top up are not refundable or withdrawable. Only a Buddie's earnings can be withdrawn.
If a payment is disputed, reversed or looks fraudulent, we may hold or take back the Coins and Orders connected to it while we investigate.
The full rules — Coins, top-ups, fees, cancellations, refunds, tips, gifts, subscriptions, wishes and chargebacks — are in the Sales Agreement.
Reviews
After a completed Order, the Customer can leave one review of the Buddie — a rating from 1 to 5 and an optional comment — and the Buddie can post one reply. Reviews must be honest and about the Order. We may hide reviews that break these Terms, but we don't remove honest negative reviews because a Buddie asks.
Reports, Blocking and Moderation
You can report a User from their chat, report an Order, and block anyone. Blocking stops messages, gifts, Orders and calls between you. Our staff review reports and may ask both sides for information. A report on an Order can freeze its payout while we look into it.
Some checks are automatic — for example a word filter on chat, reviews and profiles. If we take action on your account and you think we got it wrong, open a support ticket and a person will look at it.
We may share information with the police, courts or other authorities when the law requires it, or when we believe it is needed to protect someone's safety or to prevent fraud or crime.
Suspension and Closing Accounts
We may warn you, remove Content, limit features, or suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect Users or Buddie. For serious breaches we may do this immediately and without notice. Otherwise we will tell you why.
If a Buddie's account is suspended or closed, their Orders that haven't finished are refunded to the Customers' Wallets.
To delete your account, contact support — our team deletes it once you have no open Orders or withdrawals (see the Sales Agreement). We remove your name, photo, password, phone number and linked sign-ins, and you can't sign in again. Coins you topped up can't be refunded or withdrawn, so spend or withdraw what you can first. What we keep after deletion is explained in the Privacy Policy.
The sections on Your Content, Liability, Disputes and anything else that by its nature should continue still apply after an account is closed.
Intellectual Property
The Buddie name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Game names, logos and artwork belong to their publishers. Buddie is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher.
If you believe something on Buddie infringes your copyright or trademark, email support@buddie.gg with a link to it, what you own, and your contact details. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Third-Party Services
Buddie works with other services — payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, NOWPayments), sign-in with Google, Discord or Riot, Telegram alerts, and the games themselves. They have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. Links to other sites are followed at your own risk.
Changes to buddie and Availability
We are always working on Buddie, so we may add, change or remove features, and take Buddie offline for maintenance. If we close Buddie completely, we will give you reasonable notice and let Buddies withdraw their earnings.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example outages of internet, hosting or payment providers, strikes, natural disasters or actions of governments.
Disclaimers
We provide Buddie "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available or error-free, that a Buddie will help you win or rank up, or that what Users say is accurate. Buddies are responsible for their own Services and behaviour.
Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. In the UK, for example, digital content and services must be as described, fit for purpose and provided with reasonable care and skill.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
We are not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses (if you use Buddie for business, including as a Buddie: lost profits, revenue or opportunity), or for what Users do or say.
Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything arising from Buddie is limited to the greater of US$50 and the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Indemnity
If you use Buddie for business — including as a Buddie — you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims caused by your Content, your Services, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
Complaints and Disputes
If something goes wrong, open a support ticket or email support@buddie.gg first. Most problems are sorted out there.
A problem with a particular Order is best raised with the report button on that Order, before its payout hold ends.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and can bring a claim there.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when Buddie or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes we will tell you by email or on Buddie before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Buddie and ask us to delete your account. If you keep using it, the new Terms apply.
General
- These Terms, with the documents listed at the top, are the whole agreement between you and us about Buddie.
- If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You can't transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights to another company that takes over Buddie, and your rights will not be reduced.
- Nobody other than you and us has rights under these Terms.
- You agree to receive emails and notifications about your account, Orders and these Terms. News and offers are optional — turn them off in Settings.
- We may send you legal notices by email or on Buddie. These Terms are written in English. If a translation differs, the English version applies.
