About This Policy
Buddie (www.buddie.gg) is run by EBOOSTGG LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 16883185, with its registered office at Unit 501 Leroy House, 434-436 Essex Road, London, N1 3FY, United Kingdom ("Buddie", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here: we decide why and how it is used.
We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you live in the European Union, the EU GDPR also applies to you. Words with capitals — Buddie, Customer, Order, Coins, Content — mean the same as in the Terms of Service. Cookies and browser storage are covered in more detail in the Cookie Policy.
Questions about your data: open a support ticket or email support@buddie.gg. We give support through tickets and email only — there is no live chat with staff or phone line.
The Short Version
- We collect what you give us, what happens on Buddie (Orders, payments, messages), and some technical data about your device and connection.
- We use it to run Buddie, take payments, keep people safe and meet the law. We don't sell it, and we don't show ads.
- Card and PayPal details are entered on the payment provider's own page. We never see your full card number.
- Voice calls are not recorded.
- Analytics cookies run only if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time.
- You can see, change and delete most of your data yourself in Settings. For anything else, ask us and we will answer within one month.
What We Collect

Sign-in and security: if you sign in with Google or Discord, the account ID, name, email and (Google) profile picture they share with us; if you link Riot, your Riot account ID and Riot ID. If you add a phone number, the number and when it was verified. If you turn on an authenticator app, its secret, stored encrypted.
Settings: your notification choices, who can message you, who can see your profile, whether your online status and leaderboard place are shown, and — if you connect it — the Telegram chat our bot sends order alerts to.
Buddie application and store: your age (you can hide it from your profile, but we keep it to check you are 18 or over), gender if you give it, voice intro, photos and videos, games, ranks and roles, Gamer IDs, Playlinks, availability, services and prices, and your application answers (hours, experience, motivation, setup, and the rules you agreed to). We also keep your store rating, level and its history, and your commission rates.
Orders and money: your Orders, Wallet balance and transactions, top-ups, tips, gifts, subscriptions, wish contributions, promo codes used, refunds and chargebacks. For Buddies, withdrawal requests with the payout method, payout details (for example an IBAN, PayPal address or crypto wallet) and the account holder's name.

Support and safety: support tickets and their attachments, reports you make or that are made about you (with any screenshots), blocks, and notes our staff write about an account, Order, ticket or report.
Activity: who you follow and favourite, Buddie profiles you visit while signed in, notifications we send you, and when you were last online.
Device and connection: your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (country, region, city) worked out from the IP address, the sessions you are signed in on, the networks you have signed in from, failed sign-in attempts, and the page you are on (see "Visitors and Presence" below).
Browser push: if you allow notifications, the push address your browser gives us.
We don't ask for ID documents, and we don't want sensitive information such as your health, religion or sexual life. Please don't put it in your profile or messages.
Where It Comes From
- You — when you sign up, fill in your profile, apply as a Buddie, order, chat or contact support.
- Other Users — for example a message, review or report about you.
- Google, Discord and Riot — only if you choose to sign in or link with them.
- Payment providers — whether a payment succeeded, was refunded or was disputed. They don't send us your full card details.
- Your device — automatically, as described above.
Why We Use It and Our Legal Bases
To provide Buddie to you (our contract with you): creating and running your account, showing your profile, Orders and payments, Wallet and withdrawals, chat and voice calls, notifications and service emails, and answering support tickets.
To keep Buddie safe and working (our legitimate interests): sign-in security and new-network codes, preventing fraud, chargeback abuse and spam, the word filter, reviewing reports, enforcing the Terms, alerting our staff to new sign-ups, Orders and tickets, calculating store ratings, showing Buddies new and returning Customers, fixing problems and improving Buddie. We have weighed these against your interests, and you can object (see "Your Rights").
To meet the law (legal obligation): accounting and tax records, answering lawful requests from authorities, and keeping people — especially children — safe.
With your consent: analytics cookies, browser push notifications, the weekly recap and alerts you switch on, and linking Telegram or Riot. You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect what we did before.
News and offers by email (your consent): we email you about Buddie only if you tick "Email me news and offers from buddie" when you sign up, or turn it on later in Settings. The box is not ticked for you, and accounts made with Google or Discord start with it off. Accounts made before 1 October 2026 get these emails on the basis of our legitimate interests unless they turned them off. Every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off in Settings.
What Other Users Can See
Your profile — name, username, picture, banner, bio, album, and levels and badges based on your activity — can be seen by anyone, unless you limit it in Settings › Privacy & safety to Buddies you follow or have ordered from, or to yourself only.
A Buddie's store page is public: profile, services, prices, album (except subscriber-only items), posts, reviews, ratings and availability.
Reviews show a shortened form of the reviewer's name, like "J***n".
If you visit a Buddie's profile while signed in, follow them, save them as a favourite, chat with them or order from them, that Buddie can see your name, username and picture in their customer list and can message you (unless your message settings stop it).
When a new Customer signs up, or comes back after a long time away, every Buddie may see a short "customer online" card with their name and picture and can send them a greeting. Hiding your online status in Settings stops this.
In a chat, the other person can see when you are online, typing, and when you've read their messages. Hiding your online status hides the online dot and typing.
Wish contributions can show your name and picture on the wish, unless you choose to stay anonymous. The Buddie whose wish it is can still see who you are.
Messages, Calls and Files
Messages are stored so both people can see the conversation. They are checked automatically against a list of banned words, and a message that matches is not sent. "Delete chat" hides a chat from you only — the other person and our staff can still see it.
Our staff can read messages when a message, Order or account is reported, when we investigate fraud or abuse, or when the law requires it.
Voice calls and screen sharing go directly between the two devices where possible, so each device learns the other's IP address. We pass on the connection set-up but don't record calls, and that set-up is kept only in memory. To connect, your browser contacts Google's public STUN servers, which see your IP address. If a direct connection isn't possible, the call may be relayed through a TURN server we use.
Photos are re-encoded and their hidden data (EXIF), including GPS location, is removed. Videos and voice recordings are re-packaged without their hidden data. GIFs and animated images keep their frames, but lose their hidden data too.
Uploaded files are stored on our servers. Files on public pages — profile pictures, banners, albums, service pictures, posts and wishes — can be opened by anyone who has the link. Support-ticket attachments, report screenshots and photos sent in a chat can be opened only by the person who uploaded them, the ticket's owner, the person who made the report or the people in that chat, and our staff. Subscriber-only album items can be opened only by the Buddie, their current subscribers and our staff.
Visitors and Presence
While a page of Buddie is open on your screen and you are signed in, or you have accepted cookies, your browser tells our server which page you are on — when you open it and every 25 seconds. If you accepted cookies, it also sends a random visitor ID kept in your browser (choosing Reject deletes it); if you are signed out and haven't accepted, nothing is sent. We record your IP address, approximate location (looked up on our own server, not by a third party), browser, operating system and, if you are signed in, your account. We use it to show you as online, to show our staff how many people are on Buddie right now, and for the "customer online" cards described above. The record is short-lived: entries idle for more than 10 minutes are deleted automatically within a few minutes.
Automated Decisions
Some things happen automatically:
- A Buddie's store rating is calculated from their profile, response times and Orders. It sets their level, which affects where they appear in listings and how long their earnings are held.
- The word filter blocks messages and texts that contain banned words.
- Orders not accepted or started in time are cancelled and refunded automatically.
- When a payment is disputed, the Order's payout is frozen and the account is flagged for our staff.
Suspending or closing an account, rejecting a Buddie application and deciding a dispute are done by a person. If you think an automatic result is wrong, open a support ticket and a person will look at it.
International Transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, mostly in the United States. When they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses (with the UK addendum). Ask us for more details.
How Long We Keep It
Sign-in session: ends 7 days after your last visit, or when you close your browser if you turn off "Keep me logged in". Expired sessions are deleted from our database within about 15 minutes. Signing out, or ending a session in Settings, ends it straight away.
Codes and links: a new-network sign-in code works for 10 minutes, an email-change or phone code for 15 minutes, a password reset link for 1 hour, and an email verification code or link for 24 hours.
Presence: entries idle for more than 10 minutes are deleted (see "Visitors and Presence").
Your account and profile: for as long as your account is open.
Orders, payments, Wallet records and withdrawals: for 6 years after the end of the financial year they belong to, as UK accounting and tax law requires.
Messages, reviews, reports, tickets, staff notes and staff action logs: for as long as needed to run Buddie, deal with disputes, chargebacks and safety concerns, and defend legal claims.
Networks you have signed in from and failed sign-in records: kept with your account to protect it.
Deleting Your Account
To delete your account, open a support ticket or email support@buddie.gg from your account's email address. Our team deletes it for you; you can't delete it from the account pages yourself. We can't delete it while you have an open Order, earnings still in their payout hold, or a withdrawal waiting — those are finished or cancelled first.
When your account is deleted, we remove straight away:
- your name, username, picture, banner, bio, album, time zone and languages;
- your password, phone number, two-factor settings, and Google, Discord and Riot links;
- your country, currency, language and notification settings, your Telegram link, your browser push addresses and the networks you have signed in from;
- your follows and favourites;
- the files you uploaded for your profile — picture, banner, album, voice intro, service pictures and voice clips, and the pictures of your wishes, announcement and posts — which are erased from our servers;
- for a Buddie, the store page: it leaves every list, its address stops working, and its services, posts and open time slots are taken down; your age, gender, game ranks, application answers, weekly schedule, auto-replies and quick replies are erased.
You can't sign in again, and you are signed out everywhere. We keep what money, disputes and the law need — your Orders, transactions, withdrawals, reviews, reports, support tickets, the record that you were a Buddie and the messages you sent (which stay in the other person's chat) — with no name or picture left on them. Files attached to those records (photos sent in a chat, ticket attachments, report screenshots) are kept with them. We also keep the email address you used, separately, so we can deal with fraud, chargebacks and legal claims.
How We Protect It
- Connections to Buddie use HTTPS. The sign-in cookie can't be read by scripts on the page.
- Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes. Authenticator secrets are encrypted. Sign-in, email-change and phone codes are stored only as keyed hashes.
- Two-factor authentication is available in Settings, and signing in from a new network asks for a code we email you.
- Sign-in, codes and other sensitive actions are rate-limited.
- Staff access is limited by role, and staff actions are logged.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the ICO when the law requires it.
Your Rights
Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: fix your details in Settings, or ask us to correct anything else.
Erasure: ask us to delete your account (see "Deleting Your Account"), or to erase data we no longer need.
Restriction: ask us to pause using your data while a complaint about it is sorted out.
Portability: ask for the data you gave us in a common machine-readable format. There's no download button yet, so ask us.
Objection: object to what we do based on legitimate interests, and to marketing at any time.
Withdraw consent: for analytics cookies use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our pages; for notifications and emails use Settings › Notifications.
To use a right, open a support ticket or email support@buddie.gg. It's free. We may ask you to confirm who you are — usually by writing from your account's email. We answer within one month; if a request is complex we may take up to two more months, and we will tell you why. Some data we must keep (see "Deleting Your Account").
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) or, in the EU, to the data protection authority where you live.
Emails and Notifications
Emails you need to use Buddie safely — sign-in and verification codes, security notices, payment emails and important changes to these documents — are always sent. Most other notifications (Orders, messages, Buddies coming online, deals, the weekly recap, news and offers) can be turned on or off in Settings › Notifications. News and offers and the weekly recap also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
Children
Buddie is only for people aged 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect data about anyone younger. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it. If you think a child is using Buddie, tell us at support@buddie.gg.
Changes to This Policy
We update this Policy when Buddie or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes we will tell you by email or on Buddie before they take effect.
