Who Holds Your Data
Buddie (www.buddie.gg) is run by EBOOSTGG LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 16883185, with its registered office at Unit 501 Leroy House, 434-436 Essex Road, London, N1 3FY, United Kingdom. We are the controller of your personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and under the EU GDPR if you live in the European Union.
This page is a quick guide. The Privacy Policy has the full details, and the Cookie Policy covers cookies and browser storage.
What We Hold, in Brief
- Your account: email, username, name, picture, profile, settings and how you sign in.
- What you do on Buddie: Orders, Wallet and payments, messages, reviews, posts, follows, favourites, tickets and reports.
- If you're a Buddie: your application, store, services, rating and payout details.
- Technical data: IP address, device, browser, approximate location and the sessions you are signed in on.
What You Can Do Yourself
See and change your details: Settings — your profile, email (confirmed by a code), password, phone, two-factor authentication and linked accounts. Buddies edit their store profile there too.
Choose who sees you: Settings › Privacy & safety — profile visibility, who can message you, online status, leaderboards and blocked users.
Choose what we send you: Settings › Notifications. News and offers and the weekly recap also have a one-click unsubscribe link in every email.
See where you're signed in: Settings › Sessions & devices, where you can sign out any session.
See your Orders and money: the Orders and Wallet pages.
Cookies: "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our pages lets you accept or reject analytics cookies at any time.
What You Can Ask Us For
Open a support ticket or email support@buddie.gg to ask for any of these:
- a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- a copy of the data you gave us in a machine-readable format (there's no download button yet);
- correcting something you can't change yourself;
- erasing data we no longer need, including specific uploaded files;
- deleting your account — only our team can delete an account, and not while you have an open Order, earnings in their payout hold or a withdrawal waiting;
- pausing or stopping some uses of your data, or objecting to them.
It's free. To protect you, we may ask you to confirm who you are — usually by writing from your account's email address. We answer within one month. If a request is complex we may need up to two more months, and we'll tell you why within the first month.
What Stays After You Delete
Deleting your account removes your profile and sign-in details, and erases the files you uploaded for your profile from our servers. We keep the records that money, disputes and the law need — Orders, payments, withdrawals, reviews, reports, tickets and messages you sent — with your name and picture removed, plus the email address you used, for fraud prevention and legal claims. Accounting records are kept for 6 years. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what goes and what stays.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at support@buddie.gg. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) or, in the EU, to the data protection authority where you live.
